Man Camp 2: Lake Tahoe

After the "success" of my February 2013 bachelor party, I decided to make "Man Camp" an annual gathering of this great group of men. For "Man Camp II, I picked Lake Tahoe. Two weeks before our arrival, the ski slopes were bare and the temperatures were hovering in the 50s. Since our group is primarily adventure racers, we were just as stoked to get out for a weekend of kayak paddling, hiking and trail running. Fortunately, a storm blew in and dumped three feet of snow, literally the day before we arrived. This meant we would have fresh powder at Heavenly.  The best part was the storm blew right over, leaving bluebird sky and temperatures right at 25-30 degrees. PERFECT!  Other than "defusing" a bar fight instigated by a drunk local, Man Camp 2 was a peaceful, enjoyable retreat and a damn good reason to get "the gang" together.  Plans for 2015 are already in the works.
